Wind is never static. We see its power and influence on the things of this earth. Reporting on the Day of Pentecost, Acts chapter 2 fittingly likens the entrance of the Holy Spirit to the sound of a rushing, mighty wind, and the aftermath of that entrance makes up the balance of the book.
Writing on the potential of our inheritance of the Spirit and detailing aspects of personal and public revivals, John R. Van Gelderen entitled his 2003 book The Wind of the Spirit. The text was updated in a second edition in 2019, but the truths expounded therein remain the same. If you have a heart for the lost or a longing for righteousness that would exalt our nation, a lift from the wind of the Spirit is necessary now just as it was two decades and two millennia ago.

This is the best book on the Holy Spirit that I have ever read. It prompted me to pursue my own study of revival and to seek to know my God better 🙂 . The book is very thorough and well organized. The word pictures make it easy to understand. If anyone asks me for more information about the Holy Spirit, I say, “Buy this book!”
