Greetings to you, John,
Galatians 2:19-20 appear to be truths that if understood aright, then personal revival would be achieved if applied in our daily walk with the LORD. Would you please share your insights on these verses as to the context and meaning and how one might live or be revived by these truths?

Thanks for your question. These are wonderful verses.
“For I through the law am dead [died] to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” (Gal. 2:19-20).
Through faith in Jesus, we are placed into Jesus and therefore into His death and resurrection (Gal. 3:26-27; Rom. 6:3-5). Not only do we die to sin but we also die to the law. The focus switches to Christ as our leader and life. The goal or focus is not law, but a person—Jesus. When we access Jesus, we fulfill the law as God intends it. There is no other way.
Revival is restoration to spiritual life, life in the Spirit, the life of God. The outpouring of the Spirit is when God fills the atmosphere with His life. This occurs in times of corporate revival. The filling of the Spirit is when God fills an individual with His life. This is the essence of personal revival.
Galatians 2:20 simply states, “Christ lives in me…by faith.” At salvation Christ indwells the believer. Lack of dependence on His indwelling life causes one to not experience His life. But through faith, the indwelling life of Christ is accessed as the animating dynamic to one’s personality. This is the revived life. The revived life is experiencing Jesus.
The revived life is not achieved; it is accessed by faith. If sin or self is hindering, we must walk in the light for cleansing so we may return to walking in the Spirit for enabling. The walk of faith accesses the indwelling life of Christ and allows for growth in grace.
